If you already know you need to change and somehow still don’t, this conversation reveals what’s actually running the show — and how to rewrite it.

For over a century we were handed one story: your DNA is your destiny, life is survival of the fittest, and more requires struggle. Cell biologist Bruce H. Lipton — bestselling author of The Biology of Belief — spent his career proving it wrong. Cloning genetically identical stem cells into three different environments, he watched them become muscle, bone, and fat based not on their genes but on the world he grew them in. We are, he says, “skin-covered petri dishes,” and our thoughts write the chemistry our cells swim in.

In this conversation, Bruce H. Lipton and Celinne explore why 95% of your life runs on a subconscious program set before age seven. The three ways to actually rewrite it, and why “survival of the fittest” is a story rather than a law. You’ll hear how a lifelong atheist followed his own science into the sacred. And what becomes possible when you stop living the inherited story and start creating from the one that’s truly yours.

ON THIS EPISODE:

00:00 Hear the synchronicity that brought this conversation together

03:44 Define consciousness the way a biologist actually means it

04:19 Discover the stem-cell experiment that proves environment, not genes, shapes you

09:08 Learn how every thought becomes love chemistry or fear chemistry

14:05 Meet your two minds, and why we were programmed before age seven

20:00 Confront the 95%: how much of your life runs on autopilot

24:53 Explore the art and science of change, and why knowing isn’t enough

35:07 Get the three ways to actually rewrite a subconscious program

51:53 Reframe identity itself: “you are not the TV, you’re the broadcast”

KEY IDEAS:

Genes don’t run you — your perception does: Environment, not DNA, decides what a cell becomes, and your thoughts write the chemistry your cells swim in. You’re not a victim of your biology; you’re its author.

95% of your life is a program: Only about 5% of your day is conscious creation. The rest runs on subconscious programming installed before age seven, and more than 60% of it is self-limiting. As Bruce puts it, “you are living a different life than you think you are living.”

You can’t think your way out — you rewrite it: Insight alone doesn’t change behavior, which is why knowing isn’t enough. Bruce names three ways to reprogram: self-hypnosis in theta, repetition and habituation, and energy psychology for rapid change.

Survival of the fittest is a story, not a law: “Struggle is made up”. A Victorian-era idea repeated until it felt like biology. Real evolution runs on consciousness and cooperation, which is why the future belongs to the most conscious.

RESOURCES:

Bruce H. Lipton, PhD: is an internationally recognized bestselling author and cellular biologist who has spent decades challenging scientific orthodoxy with a revolutionary message: genes don’t control our destiny—our beliefs and environment do. As a senior research scientist at Stanford University’s School of Medicine, his groundbreaking cloning experiments revealed the biochemical pathways by which the mind controls behavior and genetic activity, presaging today’s revolutionary field of epigenetics. Dr. Lipton’s research has been published in prestigious scientific journals including Science, Nature, Journal of Cell Biology, Developmental Biology, Biochemistry, and Experimental Cell Research. Translated into over 50 languages and with more than 500,000 copies sold, The Biology of Belief has become a global phenomenon. Bruce was named one of the world’s most spiritually influential living people by the United Kingdom’s Watkins Journal and received Japan’s prestigious 2009 Goi Peace Award in honor of his scientific contribution to world harmony.

Beyond Darwin: How Epigenetics, Quantum Science, and Cooperation Shape Humanity’s Future by Bruce H. Lipton, PhD, with Patricia King (BenBella Books, distributed by Simon & Schuster). For over a century, Darwin’s “survival of the fittest” — life as competition — has shaped civilization. In Beyond Darwin, Lipton offers a paradigm-shattering synthesis built on three fields unknown to Darwin: epigenetics, quantum physics, and fractal geometry. It’s the unified theory of Conscious Evolution, backed by hard science — from survival of the fittest to survival of the most conscious. Releases August 18, 2026. Pre-order the book.
